This is an arrangement of one of my favorite J.J. Johnson songs, "Lament." I treated it with a modern reharmonized introduction, before kicking into a Latin feel for the main tune. This is a really fun chart to play. Solos for Trombone (or Bari Sax,) and Trumpet.
There is also a great recording of this by the University of North Texas, Two O-Clock Lab Band.
