Search For Peace

Winner of the 2004 Downbeat Student Music Award for Best Jazz Arrangement.

This is an arrangement of the McCoy Tyner song "Search For Peace" that was inspired by the writing of the great Gil Evans.  It features flute, clarinet, and bass clarinet doubles for the reeds, and flugelhorn doubles for the trumpets.  There is also an additional tuba part.  This is a very moody arrangement featuring either solo trombone or flugelhorn.

Recorded by the Univ. of Miami Concert Jazz Band.  Trombone solo by Jeremy Levy.
